Marrakech – Essaouira (Mogador) 170 Km

Start your day at 8 am at the doors of your hotel and drive to ancient Mogador Morocco’s finest seaside resort, an eighteenth-century fishing port town with ramparts and cannon looking out to sea and a fabulous long beach.

The medina is home to many small arts and crafts businesses, notably cabinet making and 'thuya' wood-carving (using the roots of the Tetraclinis tree), which has been practised in Essaouira for centuries.

The fishing harbor, with its fishing fleet of blue wooden boats, brings in large catches of sardines every day.

Essaouira remains one of the major fishing harbours of Morocco. You should have some sea food for your lunch Return to Marrakech whenever you want in the afternoon.
