Tour of Morocco - 21 Days

Day 1 : Casablanca - Marrakech

Upon your arrival to Casablanca airport, we will transfer you to Marrakech to Your Riad or hotel welcoming you with a mint tea, you might to be attracted by the main square Jemaa El Fa predominately occupied by orange juice stools, during the day time and open air sky ,smoky, tasty, restaurants at night time. Watch story tellers and men with chained Barbary apes and Water sellers in colorful costumes with brass cups.


Day 2 : Full Day in Marrakech - guided visit

Today you will encounter Moroccan history during your visit of Marrakech founded by the Almoravid dynasty, the Koutoubia mosque founded at 1071 bears witness to the glory of Almoravid architecture, Still majestically standing in middle of Marrakech overlooking Jemma El Fna ( the main square) featured in Alfred Hitchcock's film (The Man Who Knew Too Much) story tellers,(Halka) snack charmers,

The 19th century El Bahia place, an outstanding example of Arab and Andalusian architecture more than 160 rooms . Painted with natural colors such as indigo and saffron.

The Majorelle Garden. A Delightful garden, where you find bougainvillea, coconut palms, and banana trees, abandoned after the death of the artist Jacque Majorelle in 1926 but restored by another Frenchman Yves saint Laurent .

The Saadian tombs:famous 15th century complex where 200 members of the Saadian dynsty's royal family lie buried


Day 3 : Marrakech - Water fall Ouzoud 100 miles

You leave Marrakech around 8:30 am ,amazing landscape by turn green arid and desert like. Ouzoud Waterfalls (French: Cascades d'Ouzoud) (110 m high) are located in the Grand Atlas village of Tanaghmeilt, in the province of Azilal, 150 km northeast of Marrakech. Ouzoud means "the act of grinding grain" in Berber. This seems to be confirmed by the frequent mills in the region.In the afternoon we will enjoy another natural wonder in the area the Imi N’Ifri land bridge with giant stalactites standing like a cathedral.


Day 4 : Water fall Ouzoud - Ait ben Haddou

Leaving the Ouzoud waterfall after breakfast we drive along the winding road of the High Atlas Mountains. Reach the highest pass in the country Tizi N’Tichka pass wondrous and spectacular landscapes . We Stop at Telouate to see the Kasbah of last chieftain of the Atlas Mountains and Pacha of Marrakech EL HAJ THAMI EL GLAOUI. Drive on to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou a UNESCO World Heritage and the site for many epic film blockbusters like Lawernce of Arabia, The Gladiator and Jesus of Nazareth.


Day 5 : Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

We will stop at Ouarzazate and visit Kasbah Touirirte .We will drive to explore nomads in their caves, one of aboriginal tribes of Morocco called Ait SAGHROCHEN. The Tribe moves from the plains seeking water and grass for their livestock.we drive through the Valley of the Roses and of the Thousand and One Kasbahs .Stop at Skoura’s palm groves and Kasbah Amerdhil and on to the Dades Gorge at the end of the day.


Day 6 : Dades gorges - toudra gorges - Merzouga

The highest oasis valley gorge in Morocco. Arrive in the desert where your guide and camels will be waiting to carry you across the sandy dunes of the Moroccan Sahara. Camel trek as the sun sets across a desert landscape, for approximately 2 hours to reach your desert camp and home for the night: a traditional nomad tent. At your desert shelter, you will be served mint tea, whilst a delectable meal of tagine and fresh Moroccan salad is freshly prepared for you by your guide, with Berber music for entertainment.


Day 7 : Merzouga - full Day

Savor the quiet and stillness of the desert and the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi swirling and changing shape with the winds and changing color with the angle of the sun. explore the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi and travel back to ancient times taking mint tea with nomads in their tents. The highlight of the afternoon is a camel safari. by far the best way to experience the dunes. After taking you into the village to buy a proper head scarf to protect you from the sun, you'll be mounted on a camel and led off into the desert.Overnight in Berber tent around fire a very good tagine will be cocked especially for you.


Day 8 : Merzouga - Rissani - Errachidia - Midelt - Ifran - Fez

You will wake up to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, possibly the best moment of the Merzouga desert. After breakfast, you will travel to Fes by passing through the Ziz Valley Gorge and Midelt, an impressive mountain city with traditional buildings similar to those in southern Morocco. Located at 1,488m in altitude, it is well situated just at the foot of Jbel Ayachi (3,737m). Your journey continues via Azrou and the cedar forests where a colony of monkeys will keep you amused. Drop off at your Riad/Hotel in the evening.


Day 9 : Full day fez

It’s the spiritual heart of Morocco ,the Greatest imperial City within the walls of Fes El Bali the old Fez enclave, largest intact medieval City more than narrow street, it has also 11 medrassas 320 mosques, 270 foundouks and 200 hammams. Fez has many dim alley ways winding endlessly up and down, there are than 9000! See the Karouine mosque, the second largest in North Africa and oldest University in the World. You will see hundreds of craftsman, merchants and citizens. Don’t miss the Zellige tile factories.Fes is majestic, inspirational and wondrous, waiting to be discovered every day!


Day 10 : Fez - volubilis - Meknes

We leave the spiritual city of Morocco driving straight to Volubilis designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage site, the greatest roman ruins in Morocco.We will visit the holy town of Moulay Idriss Zarhoun the Mecca of poor Moroccan pilgrims. We drive to Meknes in the afternoon and see the great Bab Mansour gate Lahri Essouani.


Day 11 : Meknes – Chefchouen 3 hours driving

We drive through spectacular landscapes and beautiful views along the Rif mountains The Rif has been inhabited by Berbers since as early as the 11th century BC .Get to Chefchaouen in the afternoon and enjoy this beautiful blue town in the Rif mountains.


Day 12 : Full day in Chefchouen

Chefchaouen is situated in the Rif Mountains, just inland from Tangier and Tetouan. The city was founded in 1471 as a small fortress which still exists to this day. Chefchouen is one of the best town to relax and you can enjoy a hammam steam bath.


Day 13 : Chefchouen – Tangier

We are in the north of the kingdom, still driving along the Atlas Mountains; driving to Tangier the international city which was inhabited by PAUL BOWLES, George Aperly ,Jean Genet Enjoy the souk and night life of Tangier.


Day 14 : Tangier – Rabat

Easy driving as we use the motor way from Tangier to Rabat the capital of Morocco, since the beginning of protectorate at 1912 it’s an old town , where the Chellah Garden was founded in 3rd Century B.C as a settlement on the Oued Bouregrag ( Father of reflection river ), This town offers you a package of sights, restaurants and history within the walls in the largely hassle free centre Ville , medina and Kasbah. Rabat lived it’s golden agein the 12th century with imposing walls and medina. The impressive Kasbah of the Oudayas Gate. The Tour Hassan is where the Alaouite Kings Mohammed V and Hassan II are buried. Over night at Rabat.


Day 15 : Rabat – El jadida

The day along the Atlantic coast ,we will stop at Casablanca to see the Hassan II mosque one of the greatest mosque in the world built by 35,000 artisans and builders. We can have a drink at Rick's Café and continue on to the old seaside Portuguese town of El Jadida.


Day 16 : EL jadida - Essouira

A day along the Atlantic coast.


Day 17 : Full day in Essaouira

Essaouira is one of the most enchanting spot in Morocco ,one of the most sees for back packers ,surfers (wind kite stand up) art enthusiast, craftsshoppers it have an charming bleu 18c medina Orson wells use this town for his Othello , best place to enjoy some sea food. It’s Gnaoua’s music home Traditionally is the Arab music and black Sub Sahara Africa meet , with its Special mix of African magic and Islamic rituals. Gnaoua rituals combines both music and acrobatic dancing to create Trance and healing.


Day 18 : Essaouira - Tafraout

Leaving Essouira, after breakfast fallowing the Atlantic coast down south we see the Argan trees with goats standing on the branches eating the Argan berries. We travel to Paradise Valley near Agadir and on to the Souss Massae National Park arriving at Tafraoute at the end of day, the jewel of the Lower Atlas.


Day 19 : Tafraout – Taroudante

Impressive road with the Berber villages along the way. We reach Taroudant in the afternoon which used to be called little Marrakech at one Time in its history – enjoy the souks and relaxed life style of this ancient town.


Day 20 : Taroudante - Ouirgane

After breakfast we climb to more than 6,867 feet high in the Tizi n’Test : a spectacular pass in the High Atlas mountains. The fertile valley between Ouirgan and the pass is watered by the N’fis River in the traditional lands of the Gandoufa Tribes .We will stop at Tin Mel the amazing 12th century Berber mosque. We reach Ouirgane in the Afternoon a beautiful eco village for trekking or riding in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.


Day 21 : Ouirgane transfer to Airport
